Michael was the keynote speaker at the Concerned Christian Men’s 11th Annual John E. Everett Awards Celebration. Since our founding in 1996, over 43,000 young boys and men have participated in our weekend and afterschool mentoring programs.
The Annual Celebration keynote speakers that we select typically exemplify the determination, commitment and values that we preach to the boys during our yearlong programming and have included notables such as US Senator Roland Burris and Soft Sheen Founder Ed Gardner. While some of our speakers have had difficulty relating to our boys, Michael’s story and message strongly resonated with the boys and as well as the the adults in attendance. He connected immediately with the audience — Michael’s message of determination, hard work, discipline and faith was well delivered and very well received. I have personally incorporated his poignant message on being intentional as one of my guiding precepts and it has improved my concentration and performance on several levels.
Michael’s keynote was one of the most outstanding and relevant messages delivered to our attendees and we will continue to refer to his message during the current program year. We would love to have him back for an encore performance and highly recommend Michael as a motivational speaker for all audiences, but particular for young men in search of direction and inspiration.
